Kant Aktuell

Astronomy AG Aktuell After the working group has invested a lot of time in designing information posters, we are entering a new phase. We are pleased to be featured in a Kant Aktuell issue. On the one hand, the AG as a whole is to be presented, and on the other hand, our efforts. Exosolar planets - their discovery and naming - are the central theme.

The astronomy information wall is on the wall near the physics collection in the main building. We hang our new posters there at regular intervals. Output sizes are appropriately A2, A1 and A0. We are keen to present the working group so that many students know that we exist.

You can speak of success. It was not only the Open Day in 2007 that contributed to this. The poster campaign achieved its goal of generating curiosity among the students.

In 2009, the Astronomy Working Group was again represented in Kant Aktuell. Unfortunately, the “student exchange with foreign galaxies” project could not be realized, which is why meticulous research was carried out into a new topic for the upcoming Open Day 2009 - and it was found: the solar system… read for yourself.

Flyer

The international astronomical year 2009 was almost half over, and around mid-November, according to the plan, a number of astronomical events were to take place at the IKS Rüsselsheim. Evening observation evenings and lectures by some well-known scientists were to arouse interest in the subject area. The Astronomy AG was of course also involved and presented its new project, which sheds light on the historical development of astronomy. In order to reach a larger audience, a flyer was prepared and printed in sufficient quantities. This leaflet should provide information about which projects the working group has already completed, which project is currently running, show the participation in the international astronomical year and advertise our working group’s internal website.
